Glossary
Molar mass
Molar mass is the mass of one mole of a chemical substance, expressed in grams per mole. Numerically it equals the average molecular mass in daltons. For a peptide, molar mass based on average isotopic abundances differs from monoisotopic mass used in high-resolution mass spectrometry, so the appropriate value must be chosen for each calculation.
