Editorial policy and sourcing standards
In short: Sable Peptides publishes laboratory reference information about the research materials it supplies. Every fact on a reference page links to a public source, every figure carries a date, and the content is reviewed on a set cadence. Nothing on this site is a usage instruction or a health claim.
Who writes and reviews the content
Content is written and reviewed by the Sable Peptides research team. Pages are credited to the organisation, not to individuals. Sable Peptides has supplied research peptides in the UK since 2019.
Where facts come from
We use the following sources, in this order of preference:
- Primary chemical and biological databases. PubChem (identity, formula, molecular weight), UniProt (protein sequences), Wikidata and ChEBI (identifiers), FDA GSRS (registry numbers).
- Peer-reviewed literature, cited by PubMed ID (PMID) or DOI.
- Standards and nomenclature bodies, for example the IUPAC-IUB peptide nomenclature rules and BIPM SI units.
- Manufacturer technical notes (for example Bachem, GenScript and Sigma-Aldrich), used for general laboratory reference such as storage temperature, light and moisture.
We do not use retailer descriptions or forum posts as a source for a fact. When sources disagree, for example over a CAS number, we leave the field blank and record the conflict rather than pick one. We never estimate or fill in a missing value.
How we cite
- Each reference page ends with numbered sources linked to the original record.
- Database values show the record they came from (for example the PubChem CID).
- Prices and market figures are dated ("as at 10 October 2026") and link to the method page for the dataset.
Review cadence
- Reference pages (/ref, /learn): reviewed at least every 6 months, and whenever a source record changes. Each page shows a "Last reviewed" date.
- Prices and catalogue data: refreshed when the catalogue changes. Every price is shown with its date.
- Corrections: if a source changes or an error is reported, the page is corrected and its "Last reviewed" date is updated.
Research-use framing
All Sable Peptides products are supplied for laboratory research only. They are not medicines and are not for human or veterinary use. Reference content describes identity, structure, analytical chemistry and published laboratory research. Lot-specific results are on the certificate of analysis, which is available on request by lot. Every vial has a printed lot number.
What we never publish
- Amounts for use, or anything presented as a usage instruction
- Preparation or mixing steps, or schedules of any kind
- Claims about effects in people, health or outcomes
- Medicine brand names
- Rankings of sellers, or price superlatives
- Reviews or testimonials that we cannot verify
Storage, solubility and stability information is published only as sourced, general laboratory reference.
Reporting an error
Email hello@sablepeptides.co.uk with the page URL and the source you believe is correct. We will check it against the primary record.
