What is the cheapest research peptide per mg in the UK? League table, October 2026

Ranked by price per mg at its best-value vial size, the cheapest compound at the 16 October 2026 UK price check was NAD+ at £0.050/mg. The dearest was Follistatin 344 at £49.97/mg. Per-mg price mainly tracks how hard a compound is to make, not how widely it is sold.

Why is per-mg price so different between compounds?

  • Synthesis length: a 3-residue peptide costs far less to make per mg than a 39-residue lipidated one.
  • Production route: recombinant proteins (IGF-1 LR3, follistatin) cost the most per mg.
  • Non-peptides: NAD+ and GHK-Cu are sold in 50–1000 mg amounts at low per-mg prices.
  • Vial size: larger vials are usually cheaper per mg.

Is per-mg price a fair way to compare compounds?

Only for budgeting. Across different compounds it is not a quality or value measure, because the molar amount per mg and the experimental amount needed differ. Within one compound it is the right measure.

How was the price check done?

Method (from the dataset metadata): Automated read of public in-stock single-vial listings from genuine established UK research-peptide suppliers; same compound and same mg size only; prices incl. VAT as listed, excluding postage. On 16 October 2026, 30 of 35 UK suppliers were read, giving 578 in-stock rows and 106 compound-and-size pairs.

Medians and ranges cover other sellers only. Sable's own price is not included in them. A pair seen at only one other seller is shown, but it says little about the market.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest research peptide per mg?

At the 16 October 2026 check, NAD+ at £0.050/mg at Sable.

Why is IGF-1 LR3 expensive per mg?
