Glossary
Vortex mixer
A vortex mixer is a laboratory device that rapidly oscillates a tube to create a vortex in the liquid, mixing its contents. For peptide solutions, gentle swirling or brief low-speed vortexing is often preferred, since vigorous agitation can cause foaming and promote aggregation of sensitive sequences at the air-liquid interface.
