SMILES
SMILES (Simplified Molecular-Input Line-Entry System) is a line notation that encodes chemical structures as short ASCII strings. It is used to store and exchange structures in databases and software. Peptides can be written in SMILES, though the strings become long and specialised notations are often preferred.
