Retro-inverso peptide
A retro-inverso peptide is composed of D-amino acids assembled in the reverse sequence order of a parent L-peptide. This arrangement approximates the side-chain topology of the original while reversing the backbone direction, typically conferring high resistance to proteases. FOXO4-DRI is an example of a D-retro-inverso research peptide.
