Glossary
Low-binding tube
A low-binding tube is a plastic microcentrifuge tube with a surface modified or formulated to reduce adsorption of peptides and proteins. Dilute or hydrophobic peptides can be lost to the walls of standard polypropylene, causing apparent concentration to fall. Low-binding plastics and carrier proteins help maintain accurate concentrations in working solutions.
