Diode array detector
A diode array detector (DAD), or photodiode array detector, records the full UV-visible absorbance spectrum of eluting compounds simultaneously. This allows peak purity assessment by comparing spectra across a peak and retrospective selection of the best detection wavelength, which is useful for peptides with chromophores or modifications.
