Glossary
Density
Density is mass per unit volume, commonly expressed in g/mL or g/cm³. Water has a density of about 1.00 g/mL at room temperature, while solvents such as DMSO and acetonitrile differ. Density is needed when converting between mass and volume, for example when dispensing viscous solvents by weight.
