Analytical balance

An analytical balance is a precision weighing instrument with a readability of 0.1 mg or better, enclosed in a draught shield to minimise air currents. Accurate weighing of small peptide quantities requires a calibrated balance, a stable environment, anti-static measures and quick handling of hygroscopic materials.
