UK buyer's guide: BPC-157

Practical checks for a laboratory ordering BPC-157 in the UK. Research use only: this guide gives no administration amount, no administration method and no health claim.

1. What to check on a BPC-157 certificate of analysis

• Compound and amount: the CoA should name BPC-157 (CAS 137525-51-0) and the stated amount of the vial you received (2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg in this catalogue).
• Lot number: the lot on the CoA must match the lot printed on the vial label, character for character.
• HPLC purity: a percentage with the chromatogram, the column and the detection wavelength. The batch-release specification is HPLC ≥99%.
• Mass-spectrometry identity: the observed mass next to the theoretical mass for the sequence. They should agree within the method's tolerance.
• Dates and lab: the test date and the testing laboratory. A CoA with no lot, no date or no chromatogram is not a lot certificate.

2. Verify the lot number

Enter the lot printed on your vial at /lot-lookup. If the lot is not listed yet, request the certificate at /coa-request and it is emailed within 2 hours. Keep the CoA with your lab records for that lot.

3. Storage on arrival

BPC-157 ships as lyophilised powder in a sealed vial at ambient temperature. On arrival, log the lot and date received, keep the vial sealed and labelled, and store and handle it according to your own laboratory SOP and the compound's safety data.
