Public codes begin with ORI. That is the catalogue, not a certification mark and not a company number.
Chapter 2 — The family
The middle of the code is a family: VIAL, TIP, GLV, BUF. It is a filing aid. It does not encode a hazard class.
Chapter 3 — The variant
Gloves add a size to the variant code, such as ORI-GLV-M. The product is one record; the sizes are variants with their own stock.
Chapter 4 — What a code cannot tell you
A code cannot tell you a lot, a purity or a lawful use. Those are not encoded because they are not known from the code.
