# Working solution

A working solution is a diluted solution prepared from a stock at the concentration actually used in an experiment. For peptides, working solutions are usually prepared fresh in the assay buffer or medium shortly before use, because dilute peptides are more prone to adsorption to surfaces and degradation than concentrated stocks.
