# Syringe filter

A syringe filter is a single-use membrane filter in a housing that attaches to a syringe, used to clarify or sterilise small liquid volumes. Pore sizes of 0.45 µm remove particulates, while 0.22 µm filters are used for sterile filtration. Selecting a low-binding membrane minimises peptide loss.
