# Stapled peptide

A stapled peptide is a peptide in which a synthetic brace, typically an all-hydrocarbon cross-link formed by ring-closing metathesis between two non-natural amino acids, locks it into an alpha-helical conformation. Stapling can improve helicity, proteolytic stability and cell permeability and is used to target protein-protein interactions in research.
