# Size-exclusion chromatography

Size-exclusion chromatography separates molecules according to their hydrodynamic size as they pass through a porous stationary phase. Larger molecules are excluded from pores and elute first. It is used to detect aggregates and oligomers in peptide and protein samples and for desalting or buffer exchange.
