# Refrigeration

Refrigeration, typically at 2 to 8 °C, slows chemical degradation and microbial growth. It is suitable for short-term storage of many reconstituted peptide solutions for days to a few weeks, depending on the sequence and solvent. Lyophilised peptides intended for long-term storage are usually kept frozen instead.
