# Reconstitution

Reconstitution is the process of dissolving a lyophilised (freeze-dried) material back into solution by adding a suitable solvent. For research peptides, the vial is first allowed to reach room temperature, then solvent is added gently down the side of the vial and swirled rather than shaken to avoid foaming and aggregation.
