# Oxyma

Oxyma, or ethyl cyanohydroxyiminoacetate, is a coupling additive used with carbodiimides such as DIC in peptide synthesis. It offers efficiency and racemisation suppression comparable to HOBt and HOAt while being considerably less hazardous, and is widely used in modern Fmoc solid-phase protocols.
