# Net peptide content

Net peptide content is the percentage by weight of a lyophilised peptide powder that is actually peptide, as opposed to counter-ions such as TFA or acetate, residual water and adsorbed solvents. It is commonly determined by amino acid analysis or nitrogen elemental analysis and is often in the range of 60 to 90%. It differs from HPLC purity.
