# Millimolar

Millimolar (mM) is a unit of concentration equal to one thousandth of a mole per litre (10⁻³ mol/L). Peptide stock solutions are frequently prepared in the low millimolar range and then diluted to working concentrations. A 1 mM solution of a 1,000 g/mol peptide contains 1 mg of peptide per millilitre.
