Glossary

# Kelvin

The kelvin (K) is the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature, defined by fixing the Boltzmann constant. Zero kelvin is absolute zero, and 0 °C equals 273.15 K. Temperatures in kelvin are used in thermodynamic calculations, such as relating reaction rates to temperature in stability studies.
