# Cold chain

A cold chain is a temperature-controlled supply chain that keeps products within a specified range from manufacture to final storage. Lyophilised peptides are relatively tolerant of short periods at ambient temperature, but solutions and sensitive compounds may require refrigerated or frozen transport with temperature monitoring to maintain integrity.
