# C1V1 = C2V2

C1V1 = C2V2 is the dilution equation stating that the amount of solute stays constant when a solution is diluted: initial concentration times initial volume equals final concentration times final volume. It is used to determine the volume of peptide stock needed to prepare a working solution of a specified concentration and volume.
