# Accuracy

Accuracy is the closeness of a measured value to the true or accepted reference value. In analytical chemistry it is assessed using reference materials or spiking experiments and expressed as percent recovery or bias. Accurate peptide quantification requires appropriate standards and correction for net peptide content.
