Glossary

# 2-Chlorotrityl chloride resin

2-Chlorotrityl chloride resin is a highly acid-sensitive solid support used in Fmoc peptide synthesis. Peptides can be cleaved under very mild acidic conditions, such as dilute acetic acid or hexafluoroisopropanol in dichloromethane, while side-chain protecting groups stay intact, enabling synthesis of protected fragments for later condensation.
